i don`t wanna quote anything today.. there`s something i want to say instead...
...it`s been a wek since my grandma died and there`s a little story behind this pghoto that that i want to share.
the week before she died , shewent to the village with my parents. she picked these flowers and put them in a glass of water. A week later, right after her funeral we went to that house and found these flowers on the table.. and they still looked so fresh, like somebody picked them just the day before : ) ..when i saw them i decided to take some photos so we can remember it.
it`s just a simple photo with simple flowers but it means a lot to me . i also know it might not be my best shot but i wasn`t really sure what was i doing when i took these.. i just knew i wanted to take photos and i wanted to make it look "happy" . at the end i like how it turned out.
hope you like it too! (actually, i don`t really care)
btw title is by Avril ..and all the bokeh in the background is real!
My condolences, Tora. My own passed away in December. Didn't think I'd miss her that much, so I can probably imagine what you went through. The story with flowers is, as you said, simple. But somehow, it is also touching. Funnily enough, I shot some flowers in memory of her that day. In the end it is the idea behind the photograph that gives it meaning. But I have no point to make. Just wanted to remind you that she's not going anywhere as long as you keep her in your heart. Stay well, little one.
beautiful depth of field - I was drawn to this photo even before I read your story! How special to have captured this memory in the way that you have! I'm sure your grandma would be smiling
...anyway....
..thnx.. : )
My grandpa is in the hospital right now...this photo cheered me up.
thnx
...and you are welcome.
Sorry to hear about your grandma, dear. Your love for her is very apparent in this photo.
i`m so glad you like the photo
